My dad is my Hero...and so is Martin Kratt

 So, I got some Dad time today. And what a day. He took me to Brookfield Zoo to meet two of my favorite kid entertainers and scientists - The Kratt Brothers. They are animal advocates and scientists! I couldn't wait to meet Martin Kratt and tell him that I want to be a Marine Biologist. 

And I did. Thanks to Dad!

Kindergartener

Well, the day is here. I get to go to Kindergarten! I have been in preschool since I have been two - it's about darn time. It was a great, great week. My neighbor is my teacher - hello jackpot! I made lots of new friends, and my brother is on a "being a good boy streak." He went back to preschool, too - we kind of miss each other during the day! When Mom & Dad are not in school or at work, Leo's going to get some great time with them while I'm at school. I bet he's looking forward to that.

The Days in the City Come to an End...or Just a Pause

Well, it's been fun while it lasted. Mom and Dad like to take me to the city - on the train, on the bus, on the El. I go to work with Dad and hop around the museums. I even went to "work" myself one day! We've been going since I was 3 - my first pick was The Art Institute of Chicago. I'll be going to school ALL DAY soon and we won't be able to do that much more during the week. So...I will pass the torch to Leo since he is 3 now and he is going to have a blast. That is if Mom and Dad can chase him fast enough.

My mom is pretty afraid of alligators for whatever reason. I thought this was funny!

Ahhhh.....the smell of hot wax at museums. The stuff childhood memories are made of.

Since the 1960s. And the machines are still probably the same.

I learned about Charles Darwin today. And loved it.
