The Giving Tree

What a week we had. A tree outside my bedroom window went boom. Uli was not too happy when it went boom. But it's a very good thing it didn't land on our house. Phew. I had my ideas on how to fix the tree as you will see in the video. I started to call it "The Giving Tree" because that's my favorite book lately.

Dad's Day

Happy Father's Day to my Dad. He's cool. He takes me to the farmer's market and on bike rides lately.

Happy Birthday Mom

My Mom turned 35! So I suppose now she's old. I helped her blow out her candle. She's happy she has me and baby Leo as presents.

I WANT TO SEE SOPHIE

3 Months!

Leo the Rock Star (see fancy shirt) is 3 months today! 1/4 of his first year is behind him, hard to believe!

My Yard is Awesome.....

....and so is my sun porch where we eat our summer dinners, and my Uli who watches my brother Leo, and my pool which has a slow leak but is still fun, and the ice cream man and his lovely truck who seem to pass by my house JUST as Mom and Dad are about to feed me dinner! I take after my Poppy with the ice cream habit. Oh boy.

Mess

I have been a little obsessed with getting my pool out of storage. Yes, I have clothes on. And yes, that's me also covered in finger paints. And yes, that's Leo laughing at me. What a messy summer I have planned!

Chef

My Uncle Will came up from Memphis! He let me make him look like a chef. His puppy, Dori, wouldn't let me dress her up, though.

Modern Family

I was so excited to go to my first school picnic. Well, what an adventure. Mom made 25 cups of homemade caramel corn. We got all ready and barely made it to the picnic on time. I even practiced my songs I was going to sing on the car ride there. We got there and my teacher told me they just cancelled it. Needless to say I had a bit of a meltdown in the car - I was told we'd be picnicking. So Mom and Dad took us to Panera with the hopes of then picnicking outside in downtown Batavia. The weather was not our friend and the temp dropped about 20 degrees in 10 minutes! So we went home and had a picnic on our floor. Uli ate it. What a day. And we had a lot of caramel corn. It was a scene out of Modern Family - which mom watched that evening.

Haircut

I got a new "do" today - summer makes my tresses unmanageable and well, I just don't do bows. Mom was a little nervous, but it all turned out. I'm as cute as ever and look so grown up! The sidewalk chalk all over my face and shirt is also a summer look.

Beaver

Yes, I have QUITE the imagination these days. Dad captured me in action pretending to be a beaver. Watch out world.

RIP Boppy

This post may seem a bit silly, but the Boppy seat holds a special place in our house. But we've just plain worn it out. My brother and I, because we're a little high maintenance (hmmmm, really?!) needed to sleep in it quite a bit. Leo did not even mind the pepto pink color. Well, goodbye Boppy you have served us well and may you keep another baby snuggly.
